We develop the Fern software for software developers and environmental modelers. Software developers can jump-start their projects by using Fern for the high-performance calculations. Modelers can use Fern to build their models, without having to know about the details of programming a computer for high performance computing.
We have not created an official release yet. Nevertheless, Fern is currently being used in the following projects:
- openLISEM: A spatial model for runoff, floods and erosion
- PCRaster: Software for environmental modelling
You can find out more about the design behind the algorithms implemented by Fern on our blog site. The software itself is available under both an open source licence and a commercial license, and is hosted in our public Github repository.
